The Chardham Railway Project is a critical rail connectivity initiative designed to improve access to the Char Dham pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand. The project involves constructing railway infrastructure across some of India’s most challenging terrains, including areas with extremely hard rock strata. SAI Infratech, in partnership with Rahee Infratech, was entrusted with executing hard rock piling using conventional winch technology, ensuring the foundations could withstand heavy loads, vibrations, and environmental challenges.

Brief Explanation

The Chardham Railway Project’s mountainous location and rocky subsoil presented unique engineering challenges. SAI Infratech deployed expert teams and customized conventional winch techniques to drill through hard rock while maintaining structural precision. The foundations were engineered to provide long-term stability, supporting railway tracks that will see continuous operational loads and environmental stress.

Our specialized approach ensured on-time delivery, compliance with railway safety standards, and maximum durability in one of the country’s most ambitious infrastructure projects.

  • Hard Rock Piling – Executed deep foundation piling through dense rock formations using conventional winch equipment.

  • Foundation Strengthening – Designed and installed reinforced pile structures capable of handling high axle loads.

  • Precision Drilling – Maintained exact drilling depth and alignment in mountainous terrain with complex geological conditions.
